Ok, let’s talk about milk tea (the vegan version). Nice and warm, it’s soothing and comforting. It’s great for dipping cookies, doughnuts, and/or other baked goodss, and goes well with breakfast. It’s also a nice way to relax (especially using herbal tea) with a good read or some cookies (or both) during an afternoon break.
Almond-coconut blend, soymilk, or coconut milk are best for this. Vanilla flavored is a plus. Plain almond milk gives the tea a funny taste, but will work. The teas that work best are mint flavored herbal teas (can recommend), sleepy time/bed time teas (can recommend, though not all of them), regular tea (can’t recommend), black tea (can’t recommend), green tea (can’t recommend), chamomile tea (can recommend), and Christmas-flavored teas (can’t recommend all of them). Lemon Cream Tea, and Roma with milk and maple syrup, are some of my favorite teas with milk.
You can use honey or sugar, though I find that raw/organic sugar tastes best. Molasses can also be used. Back when I drank real milk and didn’t care about my caffeine consumption, English breakfast tea (cannot recommend) with raw sugar and lots of cream was my favorite combination. The one featured here—which I had for breakfast alongside my scrambled tofu—is mint medley with almond-coconut blend and raw, organic sugar.
