Mix apple juice with vegan milk (soy or almond milk is recommended). If you would like, you can sprinkle in some cardamom or cinnamon. If you have at thickener such as Replacement Egg (made with potato starch) you can also mix in a little bit of that, too. I don’t.
You can use whole slices of bread, or cut your bread into strips and make french toast sticks. I recommend thick bread, and whole grains are best.
Dip your bread into the mix and then fry it in a little oil on both sides until golden brown or bake it at about 425 degrees Fahrenheit for about 10 minutes or until golden brown. You can also make this in a waffle iron. Remember to grease the waffle iron, if you use it. Expect this to be sticky. I think baking or using the waffle iron is best.
