Here is a record of all the mentioned updates in 2014.
December 03, 2014
Yay! It’s December. Almost winter! Time to put up the Christmas decorations! I’m also working on getting some crafts up for you all. Posted another one today. See what you can do with pressed leaves and flowers. It’s still technically autumn. Hey, you may want to go get out there and collect some leaves before the snow covers them!
Anyway, also posted some overdue recipes. I wish I had had the time and energy to get them up before Thanksgiving, but I didn’t make the cranberry stuffing until Thanksgiving, nor the baked roots until after Thanksgiving.
November 26, 2014
Ok. Let’s see…Let’s talk about tea…I’ve got a new post up on tea. This one’s for vegan “milk tea”. Also, for cream of mushroom soup and green bean casserole—which you may need the cream of mushroom soup for. And also a quick and easy recipe for some dipping sauce for french fries and nuggets. It’s delicious. Hm…so, it’s almost lunch time. I wanted to make some stuffing with sausage and cranberries. The sausage is frozen though, which leaves me to decide—do I get the sausage out of the freezer or put the cranberries in the freezer, before they go bad? Not sure yet what I’ll do. Maybe the latter. I should get going though, either way.
Happy Thanksgiving, everybody! I wish I could spend more time posting about all the things I’m thankful for. Maybe I will come back later to do so, or take some time tomorrow to. I have to work tomorrow though. But, I’m thankful for a job, and I’m thankful for my family, friends, church family, and I’m also thankful for all of you who view, follow, and like this website. Thank you all!
November 22, 2014
Ah! It’s getting so late. I really should be finishing those dishes that are piled up in my sink and on my counter (from Sabbath). Oh-oh-oh…I came here about a couple hours ago to post a new recipe, and maybe a journal entry, but got so distracted and didn’t get to it. But, I’ve been having some difficulty breathing lately, and thought I should at least share a helpful hot and cold therapy that really does bring relief, and even helps me to get breathing right for the day. Praise God. That’s up, at least. Now, if there be no more distractions, I’m off to wash some dishes, and maybe nibble on an orange before bed. I hear some pie calling me, but am trying to resist. Oh-oh-oh!
November 18, 2014
Just added a new item to the menu. “Tea,” is where we will talk about tea, herbal tea, herb coffee, and maybe other hot beverages. A new comfort soup, “sausage stew,” and a new dessert, “cherry-vanilla pudding pie” have been added to recipes. Enjoy.
November 17, 2014
Two new comfort soups posted. One is a delicious and healthy three-fruit soup. The other is a comforting, hot, filling, and delicious gnocchi-tomato soup. I also posted a quick and easy-to-make oreo soup, but that’s very unhealthy, so I put it with the rest of the desserts and not with the soups. Maybe I shouldn’t have posted that one…
November 15, 2014
Had a nice, restful Sabbath. We had communion this Sabbath. I spent the rest of Sabbath reading, talking with my family, and visiting neighbors. Now that Sabbath is over, I have added crafts to the menu with two crafts, both of which are quick, simple, easy, economical, and good for the environment. All you need is a tissue box, scissors, and tape. Have fun .
November 14, 2014
Finally got some new recipes posted. I’ve been eating a lot of Asian/oriental-style foods and owe a lot of recipes to this site right still. You can find the curry powder recipe with the seasonings, and the other two stir-fry recipes with the lunch/dinner items. One of them is eggplant stir-fry. I’m having some difficulty naming the other one. Would you like to help? Please? Thank you. It’s almost Sabbath, so I’ve gotta get out of here. Thank you all for staying with me, even though I’m often messy and unorganized, and strange. I love you all .
November 08, 2014
Finally finished cleaning and organizing here, I think. For the most part, anyway. I’m probably about to make a big mess again though. I’ve been posting journal entries here and there. Now, finally, there are two new recipes up. Both are pretty simple, too. One is found where the spreads are, and the other is found where the snacks and sides are. I should probably also tell you. “Replacements” and “Healthier Desserts” have been removed from the menu. That doesn’t mean I’m not serving them anymore. I just moved all the healthier desserts in with the rest of the desserts. I hope I got them all, anyway. I’m not sure what I’ll do about the replacements, yet. If I remember right, I moved some of them to the how-to category instead. Quite a few items got deleted, too. For some, I regretted it a little too late. Ha…Anyway, it looks neater now, right?
October 25, 2014
It’s about 9:05 at night. I’ve been working on this site since Sabbath ended at around 7. I didn’t think I’d get as far as I did, but I’ve got just about a page and a half of posts left to tidy up, then on to pages and other things (Lord willing). I’m sorry. I deleted quite a few things. and renamed many things. I’ll just give you my notes.
*Pulls out notes and sets them on the screen.*
Renamed Chinese Tofu&Salad=Tofu Sandwiches > Chinese Tofu Sandwiches
Oat Patties (“Chick’n” Style) > Curry Oat Patties (and moved out of breakfast category, but it’s still in Lunch/Dinner and Sandwiches, Wraps, and Tortillas category.)
Daddy and My Creamy Mashed Potatoes > Father & Daughter Creamy Mashed Potatoes
Gravy/Cheese (Conversion) Toast > Gravy/Cheese Toast
Oat Patties > “Sausage” Gravy = deleted
moved Curried Potatoes out of Lunch/Dinner and kept in Breakfast
Make Breadcrumbs Using Bread > Make Breadcrumbs
Tropical Hors d’oeuvres > Orange & Banana Salad (moved out of snacks and sides, but left in salads)
Nut Loaf > Nut Loaf I
Lentil Soup > Father & Daughter Lentil Soup
deleted Peanut Noodle Stir-Fry and Peanut Sauce (want to improve these)
deleted Vegetable Curry Soup
deleted Spinach Dumplings
Pizza & Pasta Herbed Seasoning Salt > Pizza & Pasta Seasoning
deleted Carob-Chip Bread Pudding
moved blueberry muffins out of desserts, but kept in breakfast
Western Scrambled Tofu > Western Scrambled Tofu, Individual
deleted Chinese/Japanese Noodles
Garbanzo Bean Salad > Chick Pea Salad
deleted cinnamon homefries and spiced homefries”
I hope that makes sense. I would work on it more, but it’s getting so late. *Sigh.* So close. Almost done…Ah—I’ve been posting journal entries, too, but haven’t really been telling you about them here. I’m sorry. I’m sure if you’re a subscriber that you get them e-mailed to you anyway. Anyway, it was a nice Sabbath. Have a good night.
October 15, 2014
This is taking forever. Working back from page 10, I’m on page 8. I’ve renamed several posts. Fudge Pops/Carob Swirl (for Cheesecake) is now Fudge Pops/Ice Cream/Carob Swirl (for Cheesecake), and I’ve removed it from the Healthier Desserts and Snacks and Sides category. It’s still in the Desserts and Spreads, Sauces, and Dressings category though. Make Sticky Rice with Minute Rice has been renamed Make Sticky Rice with Minute/Instant/Parboiled Rice. Baked Veggies is now Veggie Bake. Biscuits is now Biscuits II. I think that will help with the organization. Onigiri has been moved from Snacks and Sides to Sandwiches, Wraps, and Tortillas, since—if what I read online is correct—onigiri is to the japanese as a sandwich is to Americans. Gnocchi is filling enough to be moved out of snacks and sides, too. It’s still in Lunch/Dinner. Now, I’m going to go see if there are some surveys I can fill out.
October 08, 2014
Well…I’ve still been cleaning up and organizing. It’s becoming more and more obvious that I need some new categories, and maybe an index, something I had considered before. That’ll take some time though, especially considering how busy life’s been…I didn’t post the updates last time, and may have lost some, because the computer froze, but please note that not all changes made are broadcasted, since so many posts are being edited. Actually, almost (if not) all of them are being edited in some way…
The waffle pizza post has been edited, and I’m still going to be working on that some. Garlic & Onion Gravy, Simple Garlic & Onion Flour Gravy, Flat Vegetable Pot Pie (hey, it was my first homemade vegetable pot pie), and Cheesy Potato Patties (which weren’t cheesy at all) have all been deleted. Waffle Biscuits has been renamed Waffle Biscuits I, and you can find some information on how to make waffle scones in that post, too. I kept it brief. Brown Tofu has been renamed Asian Tofu. Isn’t that more appetizing? Vegetable Pot Pie has been renamed “Vegetable Pot Pie (+ Pie Crust Recipe)”. Really. That’s the whole name. Pesto Garnish can still be found in the “Spreads, Sauces, and Dressings” category, but I’ve moved it out of the Natural Remedies category. It’s not necessary to have it there…
I also posted a new journal entry. Sadly, things are changing at my job, and next week is most likely my last week working the morning shift in the kitchen *sigh*. The school kitchen, anyway. I might be back from time to time on the evening shift or at other times, but they’ve moved me to housekeeping. I’ll try to do my best at that job, too, maybe even harder, because I love working here, but please pray for me. I really need God’s help. *Hangs head and rubs back of neck.*
October 02, 2014
Fall cleaning in progress. So far, I’ve edited a few old recipe posts, deleted some less appealing recipes (onion oat burgers, kaiser pizzas, and grossest of all, zucchini fritters), and have been working on combining the healthier desserts and desserts sections, so I’m moving the healthier desserts into the desserts category so that you can find them together. I’ve also updated the Egg and Cheese Sandwich substitute post, renamed it as “Vegan Breakfast Sandwiches”, and moved it to the “How-to” category. Of course, the blog post itself is updated, too. All this work is making me hungry, so I’m going to have some delicious pasta salad now. Yummy!
After lunch I came back and did some more cleaning and organizing. You might want to look at the recipe to Perogies again. I discovered something when I made them the second time, and edited the directions. It has to do with wax paper. I also moved the Waffle Pizza post to the How-To section, and deleted “Old Bread”, which is an older and less desirable stuffing recipe. Don’t worry, I don’t plan to delete Italian Stuffing, because that’s delicious, so we’re going to keep that. “Coffee and Tea?” was also deleted. Hopefully we can see a new blog post about that some time after the fall cleaning is done. That’ll probably be all for tonight. I’m ready to go to the commissary now.
September 25, 2014
There’s a new how-to up, if you’d like to know how to make some un-breaded tofu-wings. Some of them are delicious on pizza. Also posted a recipe for fruit soup and coconut drops (check the dessert section). They’re delicious and really easy to make.
September 11, 2014
…No—I haven’t forgotten. Today is the day we remember those who died in that dreadful attack, especially those who sacrificed their lives trying to save others. Today is the day we praise God for all the lives He spared, all those people who didn’t make it to work on time or who didn’t go at all, and were not there, and all who He preserved in the attack. Today is the day we remind ourselves why we’re still at war, and decide if it’s worth the effort, if it’s still worth fighting for…
..But, life must go on. I’ve been busy cooking, trying to get my fruits and zucchini off the counter, because fruit flies started breeding in my fruit bowl. This is why I prefer to leave my fruit in the fridge, except maybe in winter. I’m back to cooking in the cafeteria too (was on the afternoon and evening shifts and did mostly cleaning lately, but am back on the morning shift now). There’s two new breakfast recipes, 1 new beverage recipe (it’s very simple), 1 new sauce recipe and 1 new healthy dessert. It’s pineapple cheesecake, and it’s delicious. I wonder if the slice in my fridge is still good. I should have shared it, and I should have taken a picture of it before slicing it. Well, I’m going to go to the commissary and see if they brought any more fresh fruit.
August 30, 2014
…There’s a new beverage and a new soup recipe up. Both are suitable for the summer, too…or what’s left of it, anyway…
August 24, 2014
I need to post a few journal updates, or maybe even a new “About Me” page, but I haven’t had time. I guess I’ve got time tonight, but it’s late and I’m tired. I’m sorry. I did try a new, refreshing juice today though and posted the recipe. Enjoy the weather.
August 20, 2014
I guess it’s a little late for some people who are feeling the autumn chill and won’t be getting much more of the summer heat until summer, but it’s still hot down here during many of the days, so I made some nice, cold, frothy lemonade. It’s delicious, and fun to drink. The recipe is posted under “beverages.”
August 17, 2014
*Yawn*I’m tired already. Yeah, I got up early, but I went to bed at like, four or five last night. No…not in the morning, last night. But, I had a delicious dinner today. Just wanted to share it. It’s a new “quesadilla” recipe on this site. It can be found where the sandwiches, wraps, and tortillas are found. I made a big mess on the stove though, so before I can get some sleep, I need to clean that up, if I can figure out how to get the top of the stove opened up. Make sure to keep an eye on your cashew cheese as it’s boiling, so that you don’t have to dive under the hood of the stove to clean it up. *sigh* Time to get going…Good night.
August 11, 2014
Three new recipes posted: potato-carrot “cheese”, ranch seasoning (*whispers* for ranch dressing), and fried okra (bleh). Oh, some of you might like it. I just don’t like okra, but I’ve made it for others who really like it. Can you guess where they’re found?
August 10, 2014
One new recipe posted, cucumber salad. I also made some vegetable oat patties yesterday and actually measured the water and oats, so I’ve updated that recipe. I also posted a new journal entry, too.
August 04, 2014
It’s…been a while since I really posted any detailed updates. I’m sorry it’s been so long. Let’s say the Lord brought me to an interesting, and so far amazing place, although there has been challenges and I’m sure there will be more.
But, I can say that I plan on some updates as soon as I can, though I’ve been pretty busy. Anyway, I’ve posted some new recipes over the past couple weeks or so. There’s some vegan queso fresco found where the spreads are listed. It’s made with tofu. And there’s a recipe for a big pot of mock chicken noodle soup.
June 20, 2014
20 days? It’s been 20 days? Ah…I see..I’m sorry. At least I have a new recipe up now, for a delicious, refreshing, tropical smoothie. It’s especially good for this hot weather we’ve been having. I’d like to update more, but it’s almost Sabbath, so hopefully I won’t forget later.
June 01, 2014
Ah…The first day of June. I’ve been experimenting with spices and herbs. There’s a new homefry recipe and a new loaf recipe, both of which turned out delicious.
May 26, 2014
Well…It’s not much, but I finally posted two more recipes. At least a few days ago, I also posted a couple short, uncreative journal entries, too. Just trying to let you all know I’m still alive, but I’ve been busy. Ah, please don’t give up on me…
May 05, 2014
Well…God is faithful. New journal entry. A couple days or so ago, I also posted some new recipes…but they’re not a big deal.
April 30, 2014
I think all the excitement’s finally gotten to me. Anyway, Praise God! New journal entry and two new recipes up.
April 28, 2014
Well—It’s been an exciting past couple of days. That’s for sure! I haven’t even begun to really post all that I want to post, but it’s been worth it. I’ve been pretty busy. New journal entry about it. God is Good. Two new onigiri recipes up. Since it seems like onigiri is to the Japanese as sandwiches are to Americans, they’re in the sandwich category. They’re actually kind of older recipes that I hadn’t put up yet. I want to post some actual new recipes, too. There’s also a recipe for sauteed mushrooms and onions, which are delicious in sandwiches, wraps, on instant noodles, and more. You can find that in the snacks and sides category. There’s two new beverages posted, too. I’m so happy! God is faithful!
April 24, 2014
Well…it looks like yesterday’s energy and motivation for this site didn’t carry over to today, but I did get two new lunch/dinner recipes up and one new sandwich recipe. One of the lunch/dinner recipes is also a “leftover day,” recipe. I posted a new journal entry, too.
April 23, 2014
A simple request from my friend Jay has reminded me that I still have so many recipes that I haven’t posted yet, and has motivated me to post as many as I can remember. I spent a few hours today doing just that! Check it out! Too many to really list them all right now, in many different categories, and a new salad category, too. Have a look around. I hope you find something that you like. I’ve still got a lot to do.
But, my stomach just grumbled and my friend and I are going to a Bible study this evening. I’m getting thirsty, too, so I’m going to go check my e-mail real quick and maybe get something to eat. I think I’m done on the computer for the day.
April 21, 2014
I hope you all had a happy resurrection weekend! Mine went well. I posted a new journal entry either late last night or early this morning, before going to sleep. A few days ago I added a new link to the links page. I don’t know remember if I mentioned it here in the updates. I also posted a very simple soup recipe, today. It’s hardly a recipe, but I just wanted to post something…I also updated the home page, too. I guess none of these updates were really worth mentioning, so I didn’t post them on the home page.
April 18, 2014
Things are looking brighter today. Although I wonder if it’s a false sense of security, I know I can be secure in Jesus. I’ve posted a new journal entry. That’s about it, for now.
April 17, 2014
…Well…I’m alive. New journal entry. You might find it a little depressing, but I’m tired of acting and lying about how I feel. Lying is a sin anyway, and God gave us emotions. He didn’t make us to be happy-go-lucky robots. Even Jesus wept, cried, and agonized…Yeah, there’s a new recipe too…for Italian stir-fry. It’s in lunch/dinner. I should get ready for the day now. I have a stack of books to bring back to the church library this evening, and I’d like to see if there’s anymore that might be interesting.
April 16, 2014
I think I may have lost some subscribers. I wonder if they got annoyed at the frequent notification for new sandwich recipes that show up in their inbox. I wonder if that’s what really happens when someone subscribes and I post…I know I get a notice when I post something. I suppose it could have been because of my religious comments in my journal. Either way, I don’t suppose it matters. I shouldn’t pay too much attention to how many subscribers I have anyway. I just happened to notice that the number looked smaller today than I remembered it. Maybe some of them were spam bots that got banned. Who knows? Anyway, I have three new recipes up. One in sandwiches. Yes, another sandwich, although lately I’ve mostly been eating leftovers, I think. There’s also a recipe in lunch/dinner, and one in spreads. The recipes are “greek bagel,” “spinach lasagna,” and “onion dip.” I was kind of excited about the onion dip. Hm…I suppose I should get back to the job search now. Either that or I’ll go read. Hm…I don’t know.
April 15, 2014
Well…been busy on the job hunt, but I posted a journal entry about it. I’ve got to go now though to re-fill out an application to take to the open-interviews today. I’ll be leaving in about half an hour to drop off a resume at a burrito place, too.
April 13, 2014
I haven’t been eating as much as usual. I had been thinking about a vegan substitute for corned-beef-hash for a while now. This morning, I made some, and discovered it’s really filling. It held me over all day long! I’m not even sure if I’m hungry yet, and it’s almost 6:30. I don’t want you to miss this recipe, so here’s the link. Yep, here it is. Please check it out.
April 08, 2014
Yesterday, I said I was eating a lot of breakfast sandwiches. Actually, I’ve been eating a lot of sandwiches in general. I posted a couple more sandwich recipes today.
I thought it was time to update the home page, too. I’m going to get going soon, I think…I’d like some herbal tea and to read for a while…
April 07, 2014
I’ve been eating a lot of breakfast sandwiches lately. I put a few recipes up. You can find them under “breakfast” and in the “sandwiches” category. My tummy’s getting grumbly, so I’m going to go eat some dinner soon…
March 30, 2014
I’m still trying to catch up on recipes from Canada, but I’ve added two new recipes that I’ve developed here, where I am now. One is in both the “breakfast” and “sandwiches” category. It’s for open-faced blueberry bagelwiches. The other is under lunch/dinner. It’s for a meatless “meat”loaf. Yes, it’s a lot like the nut-loaf, but different…
Now, I need to get back to looking for a job.
I’ve filled out an application for a coffee-and-doughnuts-and-sandwiches kind of place. I hope I get the job there, but I’ll settle just about anything right now, so long as I get Sabbaths off, and don’t have to serve alcohol or kill anybody or…
March 28, 2014
Just a few minor updates to the “Homeless Homefries” recipe, found under “Breakfast” and Fri’s Waxthoosebullar—um, “greenhouse ball” recipe, found under “Snacks and Sides.” I’ve got to get back to job searching now, then I’ve gotta get something made for potluck tomorrow.
March 26, 2014
Well…I’m not in Canada anymore. Things didn’t work out. But, I haven’t gone home either. I’m not ready just yet to explain things, I think. I’m not sure where I’m going. It’s in the Lord’s hands right now. At least He’s providing. I did post a couple journal entries in the past couple weeks or so, and a few new recipes.
Today, I posted three new recipes. One from my grandmother in the sauces category, one from Fri in the sides category, and one from me also in the snacks and sides category. That one was my last treat for “everyone” from Canada. Yesterday, I posted a recipe for some cranberry banana bread in the “breakfast” category and updated the home page…I suppose now I should check my e-mail one more time and then I’ve got to make a phone call…
March 02, 2014
I—was going to post in the journal—but there’s only so many hours in a day, and my day is well spent. It’s time for me to get off of the computer. I’m very thankful to God that I still have the computer. It’s been down for a week now. I promised the Lord on Sunday, after I spilled water on it, that I wouldn’t touch it until this Sunday. Of course, last Sunday I did try to start it up a few times. I’ve been praying, and the Lord has restored my computer. Praise God! It’s dedicated to Him now, and I do not think He wants me to be on it very late, when He knows I need sleep and so does my computer. I have abused it until now, but I will try to let it rest, and I need some time to wind down before bed…
I have been updating the About Me section. If you go to the About Me page, you’ll see the link (which I am going to take down from the menu) to Assistants/Partners/Advisers, and also there’s a new page with more about me. I’ve updated the Assistants/Partners/Advisers (which was Assistants&Partners) page, and also added a page about my room-mate, Fri.
I’d like to thank everyone who has helped me, and thank God for His help, too.
There’s a few new recipes up as well. One for taco seasoning, one for taco filling (taco meatless), and one for cranberry filling (found in the spreads section). If I posted any others, I may have forgotten…It’s time, though, for me to get ready for bed. Good night.
February 18, 2014
It’s been about a month, maybe a little more, since I’ve really updated this site. I’ve been busy, and when I haven’t been busy, I’ve been distracted. My apologies. I don’t really have any good excuses.
But, I’m thankful to the Lord for giving me motivation again to post, and things to share.
Actually, I have a lot more to share, but not so much time tonight. Really! There should be more coming, if I don’t get so distracted again as I had been. I have a room mate now, and we share the kitchen, too. She’ll be contributing a little here and there to this site for a while. You can call her “Fri.”
—But—instead of showing you future updates or things I’d like to post/make available here that are not yet, I guess I should explain what I have done so far. I’m sorry that it’s not much.
I have a brief journal entry up, have updated the home page, and have posted a new bread pudding recipe and Fri’s recipe for a delicious carob spread. I’ll try to get more done in the future. Thank you all for your patience.
January 02, 2014
Well—everyone, 2013’s gone, and I’m about to go on another adventure. I haven’t been the housekeeper here that I used to be, and for that I apologize. I’m removing the Waffle Pizza page from the menu, although you can still find recipes for waffle pizza crusts on this site, and the page is still available. It’s just not going to be in the menu. I might be done with waffle pizzas for a while, until I can get a new waffle iron. When I bring them back, I want to clean up the page, maybe even before that. I’ve also removed the “Words Explained” page, mostly because I’ve taken the allergy and other warnings out of the titles of each recipe. I’m tired of looking at them. They’re not pretty. Besides that, there’s a new seasoning recipe up…There’s also a new journal entry posted. That’s about it though…
December 29, 2013
A new recipe for spinach dumplings. Working on editing Ly’s Goya seasoning…A new journal entry…Got so much more to do, but I’m so tired…Please pray for me.
December 27, 2013
Good morning. Yes, you see right. It’s still December 27, 2013. My updates actually started late last night, on December 26 with a few recipes posted. This site finally has a winter look, too. Did you know that the artwork featured in the header—
(By the way…I put those together especially for this blog. Please do not use them or claim any artwork of mine as your own. I have the original copies and can prove that I created them.)
Anyway…the artwork in the headers are created by pictures of food and beverages and the dishes that they come on (sometimes) are all the images that I use in these collages. Can you figure out what’s in the winter collage?
December 27, 2013
It’s after midnight. I don’t know how to even begin to explain. I want to post a blog post on it, but there’s no time left tonight and only God knows whether or not my computer will even be working tomorrow. It’s very likely that it will, but my charger is going bad, and does not work in some positions, so I have to adjust it and handle it with care…I’m hoping to get a new one, soon. We’ve moved and haven’t had internet since a day or two after my last update. It’s been almost a full two weeks. But, I’ve been cooking on a propane stove these past couple weeks and have some new and some old recipes scattered throughout the site. If it wasn’t so late, I might explain what I’ve posted, but you can look for them. Ah, please pray for me…
December 14, 2013
I was going to journal about my day today. It was a wonderful Sabbath, for the most part, but I’ve had about as much as I can handle for now. It’s getting late, and I really need to get some rest, because I think I will need a fully charged energy gauge tomorrow, and think it may already be too late to get that. But, I needed to be up for a while anyway…Anyway, it was all I could manage to put up a new recipe under lunch/dinner for a nut loaf (it’s like meatloaf, but vegetarian). I won’t have internet for a while after tonight. I’m not sure for how long (no, I’m not grounded, it’s far more complicated than that), so I might not be posting as frequently as I have been, but I’m hoping to have more to share after this little…siesta…
December 10, 2013
It’s really late at night. I really should have gotten this done earlier, but got a little distracted. Well, yesterday I made some blondies. They’re like brownies, but without chocolate or carob, and the recipe is up now, under “desserts.” That was probably obvious. What might not be so obvious is that I also tried a new beverage—maybe it’s been done before, but it’s new to me— to replace egg nog, called banana nog. That’s up under beverages. That’s probably obvious, too, but just in case. What I almost didn’t notice though, was that the Beverages menu wasn’t up yet, so I just added that to the menu, too. Now you can really find it (I hope).
December 09, 2013
I’ve added a new recipe for a breakfast haystack (or breakfast haystacks) and updated the Assistants&Partners page. Dusk created a pixel doll of me (I think the base may also be by KawaiiHannah), as a freebie, which you will be greeted by on the Home page. Thank you again, Dusk! There is also a new, but brief, journal entry. I’ve also disabled comments on some pages such as the home page, About Me, Assistants&Partners, and this page.
December 08, 2013
Hello everyone. Notice anything different? It’s exciting for me, to be honest. At request, Dusk(username has been shortened) has made these emoticons for me. Now there is more color and animation on my site. Thank you, Dusk! You can visit her account on deviantart if you would like to get hold of her. I don’t support/endorse or promote most content on DA or the site itself anymore, including fantasy and fiction, but Dusk makes some cute emotes, and I appreciate her help. She has been very nice and generous, although she doesn’t endorse or support all the views featured on the site (If any, I don’t know. She hasn’t said.). The character is me, the artwork for everything but the base (and maybe most of the animation, I do not know) are done by Dusk, and the bases are by Kawaii Hannah another artist with amazing talent/skill. These, too, were used by permission. Please do not use any of these emoticons, especially not without permission, first. Thank you!
Now, for the rest of the updates…I’ve got a new journal entry. Please keep in mind that I am a Christian, and it’s not that I’m trying to preach, but I do put Bible verses and sometimes other quotes that go with what I journal about. I don’t want to surprise anyone when it comes to that, but I still encourage you to visit my journal if you are interested in knowing some of the things that are going on behind the scenes of this blog. Also, I put a new link up, too.

I’ve added a journal, with one entry to it. It’s kind of like a daily blog part of this site, except I won’t be posting every day.

There are two new recipes up, now. They can both be found under “breakfast”. Both of them are healthier breakfast recipes. One is bran/cereal muffins and the other is for tropical hors d’oeuvres. The first only calls for 3 ingredients, and the other for only two. They are simple and easy to make.

Just stopping by real quick to let you all know that there are updates. There are some new recipes, the Waffle Pizza page has been updated, and there is at least one new how-to. I’m sorry for not going into more details, but have been trying to get my priorities straight, and am having difficulty making enough time for everything.

Wow. It’s been a whole week since I updated. Last week had been pretty busy for me. I have some recipes that I’d like to post, but right now all I have for new updates are two new natural remedies, one for cramps, and one for the digestive system. Both of those might be pretty awkward topics, so I don’t recommend the simply curious look. I’d recommend those who really want to know take a look at them. You can do other research online, too, to find out more. I tried to be as discreet as possible, but there are some warnings up there. I’d recommend reading the warnings before continuing through the posts.

Well…there has been updates. It took me a few days to update, and then I posted a new sandwich recipe for a peanut butter and fruit sandwich, as well has a how-to make a peanut butter and lettuce sandwich. I don’t remember exactly when I posted those, but since, I haven’t posted anything new (that I can remember) until today.
There’s a new recipe up in the “Snacks and Sides” category for creamy mashed potatoes, as well as one in “Lunch/Dinner” and other categories for “Chick’n” Style Oat Patties. Daddy mashed the potatoes for us. We had a nice dinner together. I hope he enjoyed it at least as much as I did.
There’s also a new recipe up in “Seasonings” for cinnamon sugar. Maybe you’ll want to try it on your sugar cookies this Christmas?
A new Leftover Day post on how to convert cashew gravy to cashew cheese, and how to make cashew gravy/cashew cheese toast as well. I think that’s all, but I’m not 100% positive. Tonight’s Pizza Night, so if I go, maybe I’ll have another update later…
Oh, that’s right! I posted a new announcement today, too.

I apologize for the lack of pictures on some of my newly posted recipes. Unfortunately, the batteries in my camera have died. I tried switching over to another camera, for now, but I have trouble on one because that battery is also dead, and on the other because it demands that I format my SD card, and the last time I tried that, I almost wasn’t able to use the SD card again…so, I don’t want to risk it. Recipes between now and when I get new batteries in my camera will most likely not have any pictures.
